Emory University women’s golf won the NCAA Fall Preview on October 20 in Williamsburg, Virginia. The Eagles finished at 594, or 18 over par, across two rounds. Their fourth consecutive tournament victory completed an unbeaten fall campaign.
Eagles close the fall with a fourth straight win
Amanda Zheng closed with a 3-under-par 69 for a two-round total of 143. Washington and Lee’s tournament report listed Zheng and Carnegie Mellon’s Yixuan Chen tied at the top of the individual leaderboard. Emory described the result as Zheng’s second individual title of the season.
The Eagles had won the Hollins Cup one week earlier with a 595 total. Zheng, Zimo Li and Esther Jung all finished in the top five at that event. Winning again at the Fall Preview gave Emory a strong finish to a fall stretch that already included repeated success.
GSB Take
Four consecutive wins are a stronger statement than a single excellent tournament. Emory has shown it can repeat its performance across different events rather than rely on one favorable week. The next challenge is carrying that standard through the break and into the portion of the schedule that determines its championship finish.
