Gwinnett Stripers home clubhouse manager Nick Dixon has been named the 2026 International League Home Clubhouse Attendant of the Year. Minor League Baseball announced the honor on October 6. Dixon is the first person in Gwinnett franchise history to receive the award.
Long-serving clubhouse manager receives league honor
The recognition followed Dixon’s 17th season managing the club’s home clubhouse operations. His time with Gwinnett began when the franchise arrived in 2009 after relocating from Richmond, Virginia. Before that move, he worked as the Richmond Braves’ visiting clubhouse manager from 1998 through 2008.
Dixon’s responsibilities also include travel and equipment transportation logistics for road trips. He assists the Atlanta Braves during spring training and worked on the clubhouse staff for the 2025 MLB All-Star Game at Truist Park. His baseball career began with the Spokane Indians in 1994.
GSB Take
Minor league coverage often follows promotions and prospect rankings, while the people making the daily operation work receive less attention. Dixon’s award gives that behind-the-scenes contribution a clear place in the story. A development club depends on reliable support as well as talent, and this recognition highlights someone who has supplied that continuity for years.
