The Atlanta Falcons lost to the Baltimore Ravens 30–23 in overtime on October 11 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. Baltimore erased an eight-point deficit late in regulation, then finished the comeback with a touchdown and an interception in overtime. Atlanta fell to 2–3 after winning its previous two games, while the Ravens improved to 4–1.

The Falcons held a 23–15 lead after Nick Folk’s 48-yard field goal with 2:31 remaining in the fourth quarter. Tyler Huntley answered with a seven-yard touchdown pass to Devontez Walker with 40 seconds left, and Derrick Henry converted the tying two-point attempt. The sequence left Atlanta needing another answer after spending much of the game in front.

Baltimore received the first overtime possession and put together a 14-play, 63-yard drive. Huntley scored on a one-yard run, giving the Ravens a seven-point lead and leaving the Falcons with their own possession under the NFL’s regular-season overtime format. Kyle Hamilton intercepted Tua Tagovailoa to end the game before Atlanta could reach the end zone.

Michael Penix Jr. could not return for overtime after suffering a rib injury late in regulation. He completed 19 of 32 passes for 240 yards and a touchdown before Tagovailoa finished the game. The Falcons’ initial postgame reporting said Penix would undergo additional imaging Monday, leaving his availability for the next game dependent on further evaluation.

Drake London led Atlanta’s receivers with seven catches for 118 yards. Jahan Dotson added two catches for 54 yards, and Kyle Pitts caught five passes for 42 yards and a touchdown. Those gains helped the Falcons move the ball through the air, but Atlanta scored only one offensive touchdown.

Jessie Bates III provided Atlanta’s first touchdown with a 36-yard fumble return in the opening quarter. Bates also broke up a two-point pass intended for Mark Andrews during the third quarter, temporarily preserving a 17–15 Atlanta lead. The Falcons’ defense created important moments, but the closing Baltimore possessions ultimately decided the result.

Bijan Robinson carried 17 times for 86 yards, while Henry rushed for 102 yards on 24 carries for Baltimore. The official Falcons game center listed 391 net yards for the Ravens and 367 for Atlanta. The Falcons remain home for an October 18 game against the Chicago Bears, scheduled for 1 p.m. Eastern.

GSB Take

The Falcons had enough offensive production and defensive playmaking to win, but they did not finish the final minutes. Settling for field goals left Baltimore within reach, and the late injury to Penix added another problem when Atlanta needed a tying overtime drive. The next priority is getting a clear quarterback outlook while correcting the breakdowns that allowed the Ravens to control the ending.
